working in a govt sector as well as private sector makes me compare the 2 altogether and choose the best for my future.

currently working in the govt one now, i see myself caught up in alot of JUST FOLLOW LAW/jack neo movie situations and i always laugh at the satires and now im the one actually 'acting' as the officer for audience to laugh at.

much as i want to bend the rules for the customers, its not for me to decide if i can or not. im just a small officer over there who know nuts about the system and yet being put in situations everyday where people ask me questions and i mostly dont know how to answer. i still have a long way to learn, but only 2 wks to last.

and i must admit, it makes me see myself as a customer better. im the demanding customer at times. yeah...those that officers like us hate alot. because the customer is always right, and i believe that if i pay for that service, i should get the best of it and therefore i must fight for my own rights.

its just like whenever i buy things, i always request for a new piece, must be in good perfect condition with no flaws. and i always ask alot of queries to organisations and request for services, just to get what i want.

after these 2 wks, i will only want to be the customer, i dont want to be the one serving. haha! being the customer has so many privileges.
also i have seen so many types of cases of pple in sgp which i thought is a rarity.
there are still many poor people in sgp.
there are a handful of pitiful cases, siblings/parents being bed-ridden, mentally ill coming down to encash cheques and because of certain criteria which they have not met, i cant process it for them which i feel extremely regretful but i cant change the rules!
there are also one or 2 bitchy cases everyday, shooting at us even though we dont set the rules. we are just a representative u know.
and shockingly, i discovered there are many people who condemned and disapproved of the G***. just like me! haha! i thought i was one of the few together with my entire extended family who is like this.

they always tell me their situation, keep asking me if i understand their plight, question if that system is a mockery to them. i FULLY UNDERSTAND! because i also think the way they do! unfortunately, work and personal opinions cannot function together.

and that place is wasting so much paper everyday! i must complain abt this. isnt it ironic, that they implement measures to save earth, LIVE EARTH, and then wad else? and organisations are here printing excess and unnecessary paperwork, so much paperwork to do.

just the other day, i was made to shred 9856209@#$ pieces of paper because they no longer implement the system anymore. like huh?!?! i was angry, in a way, despaired. i dont know what are they thinking exactly. why in the first place print so many pieces? and why cant they recycle it instead of shredding?

yes im a paper lover. i love to save paper . for my department in citib.i thought them how to print cheques on one piece, both front and back image.
its simple stuff but its just they dont bother, for their own convenient sake. im so proud of myself. ahaha! after that they started printing cheques the way i do!
